With decades of experience as an independent photographer, Robert Lear has worked with designers, agencies, and direct clients from around the world including Fairmount Hotels, HOK Architecture, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, American Express, Queen's University, Canadian Living, ATI, TD Bank, Oxford University Press, Style at Home, BBC Science, Shiseido, and many more.

Throughout his career, Robert's work has been recognized with numerous awards such as C.A.P.I.C., 3-Dimensional Art Directors & Illustrators, Art Director's Club of Toronto, Applied Arts Magazine, the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, and R.A.C.A.

Robert has also spent more than fifteen years teaching at OCAD University, where he is a permanent faculty member teaching Photography for Advertising, Photography for Communication, and Creativity on Demand for Fine Art.
